TGIF!  I am so happy this week is over because I am on spring break next week!  Heading to FL.  So "stix" will be on the road.  I would like to try to blog from my trip, but we'll see...Today I am wearing a very cool bandana (yes, bandana).  It is handprinted & just totally awesome.  Have a wonderful weekend.

Called "Comic"; if you look closely, you can see the words "Pow" & "Puff"

TopCarol Little bought at Marshalls a couple of weeks ago.  Under 20 bucks.  Great basic piece to have. Brand doesn't have a website as far as I can see.   www.marshalls.com, www.ebay.com, www.amazon.com

BandanaLeigh & Luca bought at Sorella.  It's definitely a statement piece & such a cool brand!  Handprinted, unique scarves.  Check out their website:  www.leighluca.com & check out Sorella's too, they have all different styles & prices!  www.sorellaofwoodstock.com
ShoesCalvin Klein bought at Macy's a couple of years ago, but I do come across these at Marshalls still & in different colors.  www.macys.com, www.calvinklein.com, www.zappos.com

Good Morning!  Today's outfit is simple, but it's very springy to me.  I always think of pastels & neutrals when I think of spring clothes.  The pants are an ol' favorite & the top is so creamy soft, I love wearing it.  I also threw in a necklace to spruce it up.

These actually have really cute pinstripes of creme & brown that you can't see in the pic.

TopJ.Jill "Perfect Layering Tee" (literally called that).  A normally expensive brand, but got this at Label Shopper in Catskill last year for probably under 10 bucks.  www.jjill.com, www.labelshopper.com
PantsOld Navy  bought a while ago.  So light & easy.  www.oldnavy.com
BeltH&M This was the one I got in the pair with the hot pink one from the other day, $12.97 for both.  www.hm.com
Necklace: Loft got as a gift probably about 5 years ago. www.loft.com
ShoesMerona from Target.  Love this color.  Perfect neutral & of course love the height of the wedges without the pain of heels.  http://www.target.com/s/merona
Vegan BagStreet Level  They sold out of these at Sorella, BUT found out yesterday that more are on the way!!!  www.streetlevelbag.com, www.sorellaofwoodstock.com

Looking a lil' bit constipated again.  Oh well.

Happy Wednesday.  We're half-way through.  Woohoo!  We are having wacky weather.  Yesterday there was a "red flag warning" for a chance of fires & today, rain.  Anyway, I'm wearing another blazer but this time in off-white.  I mixed a few different colors together that aren't so crazy, but maybe you wouldn't think of - grey, off-white, & army green.  Shoes were a bit of a challenge.  Black looked the best, then I decided to tuck in the shirt & wear a black belt to tie it all together.  And I had to add a bright-colored bag to give it some excitement!

Blouse:  Agora Bought this at a Marshalls down in FL.  I tried to look the brand up on the internet, but couldn't find anything.  It's a great layering piece.  www.marshalls.com
BlazerH&M Purchased this last summer.  I have to be careful with what I wear it with, sometimes it looks like a doctor's coat.  www.hm.com
Cargo PantsConverse from Target.  Wore these a few weeks ago with a black sweater.  http://www.target.com/s/converse
Mary Jane ShoesUnlisted (apparently made by Kenneth Cole) from Marshalls - another FL purchase.  By now, you can tell I love Mary Janes!  You can find this brand practically everywhere:  www.overstock.com, www.piperlime.com, www.macys.com
BagRampage Received as a gift from my sister, Terri.  I love this bag!  I even used it as my carry-on when I went to St. Martin.  www.rampage.com

Good morning!  It's going to be even colder today (~41 degrees), but I'm semi-ignoring it and wearing a dress.  Well, it is a sweater dress.  The blazer I'm wearing is the one I wore a couple of Fridays ago.  I threw in a little "snap" of color with a hot pink belt.  And by the way, I am also wearing dark charcoal grey tights to keep warm (not pictured).

Dress:  H&M  I bought this a few years ago.  I tend to wear it late winter/early spring.  www.hm.com
BlazerH&M Like I said, wore this a few weeks ago.  This time I'm wearing it buttoned up, & it really accentuates the waist.  www.hm.com
BeltH&M (Wow, didn't realize my whole outfit is H&M today!  I'm a little H&M nerd.)  I just think this belt is adorable.  It was sold in a pair with a thin brown braided belt for a total of $12.97.  www.hm.com
Black bootiesMossimo from Target Of course I had to throw in something from Target!  I love these.  They are easy-breezy, just slip on & comfy to walk in.  Had to go up 1/2 a size.  www.target.com
Vegan BagStreet Level bought from Sorella.  www.sorellaofwoodstock.com  This website  has links to their bags that are up for auction, kinda cool.  www.streetlevelbag.com

My dad totally gets the credit for the idea of putting this outfit in front of the Forsythia.

Hi!  This week will sadly be a little cooler, especially tomorrow (high of 44 degrees).  So, I busted out my fave brown boots, hopefully for the last time this spring.  I also did what I used to think was a fashion no-no:  wore black & brown together.  I think it works.  The sweater I'm wearing has its own "pop" of color - didn't even have to accessorize.

SweaterBask bought at DIG in Saugerties.  This is very sheer, so doubled up with 2 tanktops.  It's a cool color that takes on whatever color is underneath it.  http://shop.digtheshop.com/
LeggingsCity Lights bought at Vidakafka.  A unique, charming, intimate boutique in Woodstock.  Love it!  http://www.sfcitylights.com/
BootsFranco Sarto bought at Marshalls in Poughkeepsie this past summer $99.99.  I normally don't buy boots in August, but I couldn't resist these.  They kick "you-know-what"!  I lived in these boots this winter.  They're rugged & cool, & I love that the zippers are on the outside of the leg.
Vegan BagStreet Level bought at Sorella in Woodstock.  Wish they made it in more colors!  http://www.sorellaofwoodstock.com/
Thanks Dad for the pic!  Love you!

Happy Happy Friday! Today I'm dressed in a classic: white button down & jeans. I think it's a crisp, clean, & fresh look that is flattering to everyone. I added the red shoes & necklace for some pizzazz. Have a great weekend!

TopBrooks Brothers I bought this at the outlet at Woodbury Commons about 3 years ago.  It's a "no iron" which we all know is not totally true.  I think they put chemicals in it to keep it wrinkle free until they wash out.  www.brooksbrothers.com
JeansLevi's "Demi Curve".  Wore these a couple of weeks ago.  Love the fit!  www.levis.com
Necklace:  Handmade by a friend.
Flats:  Mossimo Supply Co. from Target.  They are pretty comfy!  I did buy them a size bigger by the way, & didn't realize it until I actually wore them for the 1st time.  They were marked wrong on the shelf at the store.  www.target.com
Bag:  Target  faux suede.  Love the look & feel of this bag.  Great for work.  www.target.com

I cut my face off on purpose. Believe me, I think it made my outfit look worse.

Hello!  Today it's supposed to be in the 80s, so I'm wearing a dress to stay cool.  I must say, many of my kindergarteners are confused & think it's the summer, not spring.  Anyway, I got the short-sleeved sweater/cardigan I'm wearing today from a clothes swap with one of my girlfriends (thanks LO).  We didn't have a party or anything, we just brought each other clothes that we didn't want anymore, but thought the other would like, & this was one of them.  I think I made out pretty good.  I highly recommend it, but would suggest to make it into a party.

I love that these are as comfy as flats, but they give me some height.

Dress: Max Studio bought at Marshall's at the Jersey Shore (yo!).  Love this brand, they make beautiful dresses. www.maxstudio.com
Sweater/cardigan: Sonoma I think that's a Kohl's brand. Like I said before, I didn't buy it, got it in a clothes swap. Such a great idea! www.kohls.com
Shoes: Etienne Aigner bought at TJMaxx in the city last weekend. Got 'em for $29.99; saw them on zappos for $59.99 - oy! Gotta love the discount stores. Definitely a "do" to mix & match different browns & neutrals. http://www.zappos.com/etienne-aigner-nixie-black
Vegan Bag: Street Level So versatile. Love! Goes with lots of colors. www.sorellaofwoodstock.com

Good Morning! Today I wore an old favorite - a pinstripe vest that I've had for about 7 years.  Not sure if it's "in" at the moment (menswear goes in & out all the time), but I don't really care because I think it's very flattering.  I love to wear it in the summer with a "wife beater" ribbed tank top underneath & jeans.  **By the way, please check out a new feature on the blog (underneath the "Moi" picture) called "Seen in the Stix", spotlighting all things stylish - accessories - clothing- bags- shoes, etc. as seen out & about in the stix.**

Sleeveless BlouseEssentials by Milano bought at Marshall's last fall.  This is another essential (I know, drrrr) piece to have in your wardrobe.  Definitely great for layering under v-neck or scoop neck sweaters (and you won't have to worry about the arms being too tight), cardigans, long sleeve Ts, maybe even T-shirts.  And of course it's great on its own too.  www.overstock.com, www.ebay.com, www.marshalls.com
VestH&M Spotted this in an ad in a magazine & bought it up.  www.hm.com
PantsStar City  Bought at Marshall's but just googled & found out they sell this brand at Kmart too!  Who knew?  Love the fit of them and they are very lightweight - great for warmer weather.  www.kmart.com, www.marshalls.com
Bracelets/watch:  Various brands;  I love to stack a bunch of bracelets with my watch.  I threw in some pearls too.  Experiment with your bracelets!  You'd be surprised what looks good together.
FlatsJessica Simpson  Yup, same as yesterday.  Love these,  they were great for work too.  Love the bling!  On clearance right now -   www.marshalls.com
BagCynthia Rowley  My sister-in-law got this for my birthday last year, & to be totally honest, it would not have been a handbag I would've looked twice at in a store.  BUT it has totally grown on me.  I think it compliments the outfit & looks great with jeans & a simple white T-shirt.  It's also very roomy.
