2 Parties, 1 Dress

Happy Weekend!  I wore this dress last weekend.  I had 2 events to go to that overlapped, but both were very important to me.  One was a fundraiser for a documentary about diabetes.  This is very near & dear to my heart because my husband has Type 1 diabetes.  Here's the link:  TheDiabetesMovie.  The other event was a live performance of my very good friend's son playing the drums.  He is only 8 years old!  What a talent.  Check him out:  JosephCarpinoRocks.

Twilight Backyard BBQ

Good Evening!  I wore this outfit to a bbq the other night & wanted to share.  Casual and simple, but with a little edge (lacy tank).  After the sun went down, & it got chilly, I threw on a white denim jacket FYI.

Singin' in the Stix

Hello!  So this is the outfit I wore for my "gig" this past Friday night.  Sang some Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette, & Buck Owens.  The outfit is mostly casual, but I spiced it up with the shiny sandals (the strap has velcro for a great fit). 

Tank Top:  Imaginary Voyage bought at Marshalls last summer.  It's really cool. It looks like 2 shirts.  Very flattering.  Couldn't find a website for this brand, but when I googled it, found a few items on www.ebay.com.
Capris:  Bimbo bought at a boutique in Saugerties that is no longer open.  I hate the name of this brand, but I do love the pants.  They got a little stretch in them for comfort.  Something is wrong with the website, but here it is www.bimbo-clothing.com

Field Day Fashion

Evening!  So, I felt so guilty that I hadn't posted my outfit today that I asked a co-worker to take my pic at "Field Day" at my school.  And it did take place despite the heat.  I practically melted out there, but it was fun & the kids had a great time.  So please scroll down for outfit photo!

Tank Top: Positive Energy Promotions bought at the NYS Speech Convention a few years ago.  It says "Positive Energy" in phonetic transcription (speech teacher dork!).  Couldn't find a website for it.

Happy Friday.  The tank I am wearing today is one of my absolute favorites.  I think it is flattering on anyone.  It's definitely a "go-to" piece that I wear to work and play, all year long.  Colder days with layers, warmer ones, alone.

Morning!  The skirt in this outfit is very dear to me.  I don't think I'll ever part with it, no matter what.  I wore it on my 29th birthday as well as my "first date" with my husband.  I put first date in quotations because we weren't exactly alone.  It was old school Italian style -  his parents and mine were there too!
