French Classic

This top is clean, crisp, classic.  I exchanged a Christmas gift for it from LL Bean.  It is so soft.  I paired it with pink jeans to "spring" it up.  The gemstones on the necklace & shoes are a nice contrast to the sportiness of the overall look.

TOP:  LL Bean bought from the website.  Find here
JEANS:  American Eagle Outfitters bought from Marshalls.  Find similar here
NECKLACE:  Stella & Dot got at a jewelry party.  It looks like the piece is "retired".  But I found similar here
FLATS:  Jessica Simpson bought from Marshalls last spring.  I really scored on these, they were on clearance at the time, & also on-line for WAY more money.  These shoes are pretty much sold out everywhere on-line.  Find similar here
BAG:  Sparrow True just bought from Marshalls for $19.99.  This bag is so soft & has a cool vintage look.  Marshalls & TJ Maxx have a large selection of these.  I could not find a good website for the brand.  But if you want similar-ish, look here

Peachy!

This dress was a steal!  From where?  Where else?  Target, of course, on clearance.  It has a neon orange tank slip attached underneath it.  I paired it with tan to keep it more classic.

DRESS:  Mossimo from Target under 12 bucks.  Find similar here
SHOES:  Etienne Aigner bought from Marshalls.  Find similar here
BAG:  Michael Kors a gift from my husband who got it from a consignment store in FL.  Find similar here

Blue Trifecta

Royal Blue, Teal, Turquoise.  I tried hard not to match the blues, I like that they are all one off.  Creme pants are the perfect base for the blues & a pink purse adds a little pop.  And as Rachel Roy, major fashion designer, on Project Runway said, a woman's shoes should never match her purse.

BLOUSE:  Fun & Flirt bought from Marshalls.  Find similar here
PANTS:  The Limited bought from a consignment shop in FL.  Similar here
SHOES:  Nine West bought from Marshalls.  These are not comfortable enough to wear to work unfortunately.  Find an even bolder version here
WOODEN BEADED NECKLACE:  Bought pre-owned off of ebay.  Find similar & super cheap here
BAG:  Coach bought from Factory Outlet on ebay.  Find here

My Mom's Gonna Hate This Outfit

I took a week off from the blog because I was tired of posting winter outfits.  I'm on spring break this week & I wanted to post fun, colorful, spring outfits that aren't necessarily for work.  This one is a little crazy, but I think it's quirky & unexpected.  I like the combo of purple & lime green.  I chose red shoes because they were the last color I would've thought to wear.  This is an outfit I would wear to work, especially because the shoes are so comfy.

SHIRT: American Eagle Outfitters bought from Label Shopper in Catskill.  Find similar here
SKIRT:  Mossimo from Target.  I waited for this to go on clearance.  I love the color combo & texture.  It's more neutral than you think!  It's still on clearance here
FLATS:  Aerosoles bought from Dig in Saugerties.  I got these on sale as well this past winter, they were the last pair, & they happened to be my size.  So comfortable. Similar here
BAG:  Madison Handbags designed by yours truly, but I did bite off one of the samples that the consultant brought with her.  www.madisonhandbags.com

Charmé

I have been searching for a long striped tank for a while now.  I wanted to wear it under shirts & sweaters so that the stripes would peek out from underneath.  Surprisingly, I found the perfect one on ebay, & it's actually maternity-wear!  (Don't get excited, I am NOT pregnant).  Although the scarf's pattern contrasts the stripes, the colors in it blend well with the rest of the accessories.

CHAMBRAY SHIRT:  American Eagle Outfitters bought from Label Shopper in Catskill.  I've been mistakenly calling this a "denim" shirt, but I stand corrected (according to the magazines I read).  It's called "chambray".  Find similar  here
TANK TOP:  Liz Lange for Target bought from ebay.  Find a similar tank dress here that you could push up a little & wear as a top.
LEGGINGS:  Xhilaration from Target.  Find similar here
BOOTS:  Seychelles bought from Dig in Saugerties years ago.  Find similar here
BAG:  Street Level bought from Sorella of Woodstock.  I had a hard time finding a similar bag on-line, here's the closest I could find:  www.kohls.com

Tiny Little Flowers

The flowers on this shirt caught my eye when I was looking in my closet, they scream spring!  I knew I would pair it with my light green jacket because I've worn it with it before, but wasn't sure about what pants to wear.  Then I thought, why not keep the spring colors going & wear my pink jeans with it?

BLOUSE:  Wet Seal bought from Label Shopper in Catskill.  It has a tie to go around the waist, but it didn't look right with the jacket, so I took it off.  This is the closest I could find.
JACKET:  SO from Kohls.  Find similar here
JEANS:  American Eagle Outfitters bought from Marshalls.  Find similar here
BAG:  Coach bought off of ebay from the Coach Factory Outlet this past summer.  Find similar (& much cheaper here
SHOES:  Dansko "Ryder" bought from 6pm.com.  Look at the cheapest I could find them here

Love Wearing Loafers

I am so happy that it's warm enough to wear loafers!  I'm sure it won't last because technically it is still winter, but I will take it while I can get it.  At first I had on gray suede booties with this outfit, but they just weren't working.  I had gotten these shoes as a gift from my husband who bought them this past January at a consignment shop in FL.  They make the outfit a lot more polished.

LONG SLEEVE T-SHIRT:  Zenana Outfitters bought from Marshalls.  Find for really cheap here
PANTS:  Victoria's Secret skinny pant from Victoria's Secret.  Find similar here
LOAFERS:  Coach got as a gift from my stylish husband.  Find sort of similar here
NECKLACE:  Premier Designs.  The last time I looked for this on ebay, I found a lot of them, but no more.  Find some alternatives here
BAG:  Badgley Mischka got as a gift from my sister-in-law.  See similar here

Mixture of Elements

March is one of those difficult months weather wise & fashion wise.  It could snow one day, then be 50 degrees the next.  By this point in the winter I am really tired of my winter clothes & very anxious for spring to come.  But, unfortunately, it is still winter.  So with this outfit, I mixed pieces of spring (scarf, light sweater) with winter ones (booties, lined pants).  And instead of going with gray boots, I chose tan instead to warm up the color scheme.

HIGH/LOW SWEATER:  (High in the front, low in the back)  Kenar bought from Marshalls
See very similar here
SCARF:   No brand found.  Bought at The Saratoga Hilton at City Center Gift Shop for $16 last spring.  Couldn't find a similar item on-line.  It has a horse bridle pattern on it.
PANTS:  Limited bought from a consignment store in FL last spring break.  They are lightly lined.  I wear them in all seasons (except fall for some reason?).  Find similar in an ankle pant here
BOOTIES:  Clarks "Dream Belle" bought on-line.  These are hard to find in tan on-line.  I could only find them here, & they're kind of expensive.
BAG:  Not sure of the brand.  Bought the large size from ebay.  Find mine in medium here

Sneak of Spring

I know it's not spring (nor even close to spring weather) yet, but I have to add some pop of spring color to my outfits.  A hot pink sweater skirt is certainly a great in-between-seasons piece.

CARDIGAN:  Loft bought years ago.  Love the bead detail on the collar.  Found the EXACT same one in Medium here
TANK/BLOUSE:  Mossimo bought from Target a couple of years ago.  Find similar, but even cuter here
SKIRT:  Mossimo also bought from Target recently.  Found it here in a variety of sizes.
TIGHTS:  Merona from Target.  Find similar here
BAG:  Cynthia Rowley received as a gift.  This can still be found on-line.  Look for similar items here
BOOTIES:  Etienne Aigner bought from Marshalls.  Find large similar selection here
